Introduction to FC Bradwell

team 00 - club - 0005

FC Bradwell was formed on the 01.06.2010 with the intention of giving more children the chance to 'enjoy' playing football.

From those early days the club progressed so quickly that we were soon aiming to become a Charter Standard Club.  We were quoted a minimum of a year to achieve this goal, however, we achieved it in January 2011, only 7 months after the club was established.  Being a Charter Standard Club means that we have passed a rigorous FA Criteria and as a result all "FC Bradwell" Managers and Coaches have passed the FA’s Level 1 Coaching Certificate, are CRB checked, Emergency First Aid trained, have attended the FA Child Protection Course.  It also means a lot, lot more (details available on request).

During FC Bradwell's first season (2010/11) we had 2 teams and the Saturday Morning Club (SMC), for our second (2011/12) season we had 10 teams plus the SMC.  For the 2012/13 season we have 12 teams plus the SMC and are now well established on the Youth Footballing Map.  Here are our Club Photos for the 2010/11, 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons:

The other thing that you may have already noticed is that FC Bradwell was formed in a World Cup year.  In addition, we aim to play flowing, attractive football, so 'FC Bradwell' adopted a World Cup 2010 theme and as a result:

Our home strip is Yellow Shirts, Blue Shorts & Blue Socks (Ring a bell?)

...and our away strip is Red Shirts, Blue Shorts & Red Socks (Any ideas?)

Whilst on the subject of strips, we have been incredible lucky with sponsorship and you will see on the 'Sponsors' tab the incedible level of support that we have had.  We are massively grateful to all our sponsors and we could not have done it without you, so THANKS to you all!

We are also very grateful to all our parents and families for the help and support that you have given us.

However, most importantly, we must also thank our players.  Not only have you all progressed and reached some fantastic achievements already, but you have done it with class, with respect and most importantly with smiles on your faces, so THANK YOU!

We hope you all enjoy the rest of our website and if you would like any further information, have any questions or have any feedback about anything ‘FC Bradwell’ related (positive or constructive), then please get in touch, via the ‘Contact Us’ tab, and we ‘promise’ to listen.

Thanks for your time and interest and take care!
